About me

The story behind the code

I'm Ruthvik Nath Bandari, an AI/ML engineer who treats models as systems: data in, evidence-traceable output out, with an eval suite deciding what ships. I'm pursuing my M.S. in Artificial Intelligence at Northeastern University (GPA 4.0), working across clinical NLP, agentic AI, and applied LLM systems.

Clinical NLP & Health AI

PubMedBERT NER, DINOv2 medical imaging, and evidence-traceable extraction from clinical and policy text.

Agentic Systems & RAG

Multi-stage LLM pipelines with hybrid retrieval (pgvector plus BM25) and groundedness verification.

Evaluation & HPC

Leakage audits, calibration, and honest metrics, trained on SLURM GPU clusters. Nothing ships without numbers.

Now

Research Assistant, Northeastern University

Two lines of work: regulatory-affairs AI for Dr. Rominder Singh (a global drug-regulatory RAG dataset, then a Canvas-embeddable RAG tutor), and a full-stack higher-ed compliance web application with institution-ingestion automation at CHEW.

“Build it until it's evidence-traceable, evaluate it like it has to ship, and keep the abstractions thin.”

Off the keyboard, I shoot photography. See the gallery
